creating texture with encaustic

the  one thing I love the most about working with encaustic medium

is creating wonderful textures

I love twisting wire, it's like doodling for me

and adding the beads is just icing on the cake

playing around with color ideas

i've been busy gearing up for my fall show

18 paintings so far

only four more weeks to prepare

i would love to have a few more ready in time

 a basket filled with rusted metal or a book

this time it was both

a few layers of yellow, cream and white wax

a photo transfer of some queen anne's lace

and lots of shellac
